Bio
Juan Manuel Rodríguez, known as Juanma, is co-founder and co-CEO of Interfell and, since October 2025, SVP of Product and partner at Simera, the global AI-powered talent platform Interfell is now part of. He describes himself as a filmmaker turned IT entrepreneur who stopped telling fictional stories to build real ones.
Before Interfell he founded two film and theater production companies and taught at Universidad de Los Andes (Venezuela) from 2011 to 2016, covering sociology of communication, research methodology and entrepreneurship. In 2016 he co-founded Interfell in Mérida with Daniel Juárez and Aurora Pérez, connecting Latin American talent with tech projects worldwide when remote work was still rare.
At Interfell he ran the PMO and operations before taking over recruiting and R&D in 2018, the area that turns the hiring method into product. That focus is what he now brings to Simera's product.
